App Description
In a universe where Nature and Chaos constantly battle for control, a battle emerged that symbolizes this eternal struggle: Pongo17. The ball that is launched at the beginning of the battle represents the original information, an idea, and each player tries to modify it to fit their worldview.
From all corners of the universe many shapes balls are sent as original information, and many more are still traveling towards this battle.
The players represent Nature and Chaos, each trying to win the battle to impose their vision of the world. Each scored goal is like a victory for that force, an opportunity to demonstrate its superiority over the other. As the ball travels back and forth, there is a constant clash of ideas and values, each fighting to impose its will on the other.
The final result of each battle reflects the balance between these two opposing forces, and can have an impact on the overall balance of the universe.
Pongo17 has become an important symbol of the constant struggle between these two forces in the universe, a battle that never ends and is always at stake.
GAMEPLAY
In Pongo17, players embody the essence of Nature and Chaos, which are captured in precious crystals that they must defend from a bouncing ball representing the original information. As they move their paddles left and right, they not only defend their crystals but also modify the original information of the ball. Along the way, they can collect power-ups symbolizing the different forces at play in this eternal struggle. These power-ups have varying effects and can tip the balance in favor of one side or the other.
ACTIVE ABILITIES:
– Double size (make paddle 2x size)
– Shoot a projectile, which will invert the ball’s or opponent’s movement for a few seconds or destroy a block defense.
PASSIVE ABILITIES:
– Spawn Block Defense to protect your crystal ( if powerup is green)
– Double speed of paddle (if powerup is yellow)
PASSIVE PENALIZATION:
– Cancel active abilities you have for a few seconds (if powerup is purple)
– Reduce speed of paddle( if powerup is red)
– Inverted Movement for a few seconds (if projectile touch you)
BALL POWER-UPS:
– Plus 3 points on goal (if powerup is yellow)
– Minus 3 points on goal (if powerup is red)
Hint* Be careful with raged ball when collides only with walls or players!
CONTROLS
To move the paddle you have 2 options, press pause in center of the game to choose:
– Static – your screen is half divided, left and right screen (perfect playing with 2 fingers)
– Dynamic – hold and slide with you finger to left or right on the screen, like swipe (perfect playing with one finger)
*Take in consideration the limited velocity of the paddle, you can’t move “instantly to desired position” that will be to easy.
When you finally understand how the paddle is moving it will be a joy to play, sometimes even risking your points to get a desired counter-effect.
